Driving Change: Supporting Sick Children at Convoy4Kids

On Sunday 27th October 2024, team members from I’m In The Right and Southern Cross Truck Rentals came together for a memorable day at Convoy4Kids Sydney. This annual event is more than just a gathering; it’s a heartwarming celebration that unites drivers, truck owners and their families to raise funds for sick children.

What is Convoy4Kids?

Each year, over 500 trucks from various drivers and trucking companies join a spectacular convoy. This year the convoy made their way from Sydney Dragway to Hawkesbury Showground in Clarendon. The event not only showcases the strength of our trucking community but also reinforces our commitment to helping those in need.

This year, funds raised during the convoy were dedicated to two incredible causes: the NETS Ambulance Service and KidzFix Rally. Both organisations play crucial roles in providing essential support to sick and disadvantaged children across Australia.

Supporting NETS Ambulance Service and Kidzfix Rally

The Newborn & Paediatric Emergency Transport Service (NETS) Ambulance Service is a statewide service of NSW Health that provides health services for very sick or injured babies and children up to the age of 16 years. NETS helps minimize the barriers of accessing a children’s hospital by ensuring babies and children are given the best care they can receive.

KidzFix is a charity that organizes fundraising activities to support sick and disadvantaged children in Australia. These fundraising activities include a boutique driving adventure designed to explore parts of Australia that are off the beaten track.

Spreading Joy

In our commitment to making this event as joyful as possible, I’m In The Right invited Sydney Fun Faces to paint the faces of many children and adults.  Their contributions were invaluable, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for their part in the event. We also want to thank the fun team at Southern Cross Truck Rentals for the opportunity to be part of Convoy4Kids with them.

Together, We Can Make a Difference!

Reflecting on the day, it was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful cause. Seeing the transport community come together for a day filled with fun, laughter, and compassion was truly inspiring. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when we unite in making a real different in the lives of sick children across Australia.
