The idea for I’m in the Right began with our Director, Shaun Wickenden, who was working as an autobody general manager. He realised something many drivers didn’t know: under Australian law, the at-fault driver must cover the cost of repairs and a hire car for the not-at-fault driver.
Spotting a gap in the market, Shaun saw an opportunity to support everyday drivers who found themselves suddenly without transport. He invited his brother, Blake Wickenden, to join him on the journey — and in 2014, I’m in the Right was born.
What started as a small family venture with just a handful of vehicles has grown rapidly. Today, we have a fleet of over 1,200 vehicles nationwide and are proud to be one of Australia’s top three providers of accident replacement vehicles.
In 2025, Shaun and Blake welcomed Sam Ghassani to the leadership team as CEO. Sam’s journey with us spans eight years, during which he founded and led our partner law firm, Spectre Law, and served as Interim Co-General Manager before taking on the role of CEO. His deep understanding of our culture, values and operations positions him perfectly to guide I’m in the Right into its next phase of growth and success.
